Rim Lae restaurant is located inside the private Koh Tao Cabana Resort, north of Sairee beach. You will be welcomed by the very friendly staff who will guide you to your table. Choose from their selection of tasty starters like fish fingers in wasabi sauce, then tuck into a main course or one of their daily specials. For something different, try the green tea rice or the rib-eye steak. Zest is a well-known Koh Tao coffee shop and cafe that opens early in the morning and closes late in the afternoon. It has two locations – Mae Haad and Sairee – and both serve the Zest classics: hearty breakfasts, hefty sandwiches, fruit smoothies, and a variety of coffee drinks. Two very popular sandwich choices are the Spicy Chicken and the Sail Rock (salmon and cream cheese). Recently, Zest has made additions to their menu to include vegan and non-vegan Thai food as well as vegan Western dishes. The vegan lentil burger with fries and onion rings is tasty and filling! Finding a tranquil, beautiful setting on Sairee beach can be hard but Sea Side Restaurant has managed this superbly.

A fusion of Western and Thai cuisine with a choice of genuine Spanish and Thai tapas. Start with tapas, mushrooms with cheese and garlic, chicken croquettes and the obligatory Spanish omelette. Follow with your choice of main dish, try black spaghetti seafood with fried and garlic pepper or grilled pork ribs in BBQ sauce and roasted potatoes.

Coffee House is a mere 20 metres from the pier and will welcome you to Koh Tao with its relaxing atmosphere cocooning you from the hustle and bustle of Mae Haad.

Located on the southern tip of Koh Tao outside of Chalok Baan Kao, View Point Resort has a beachside restaurant called The Cape. The Cape provides guests with a peaceful ambiance while they dine and watch the moon and stars shine above the sea. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. For lunch, guests can choose from the Western or Asian menu for their starters or entrees. Popular choices from the Western menu are fresh salads, pasta, or exquisitely prepared meats or seafood. The Asian menu offers some of the best-known national Thai dishes and some island favourites, like prawns in lime coconut or curried soft shell crabs with egg.

The Terrace Restaurant at Jamahkiri

The Terrace at Jamahkiri   

With its stunning sea views and beautiful atmosphere, The Terrace is the perfect place to indulge in a little fine dining. Chabalay is located in the southern part of the island in Aow Leuk. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, guests have a clear view of the turquoise bay amongst a mountain backdrop. During certain times of the day, people can even spot reef sharks from the restaurant deck!

The menu is a mix of Thai and western food. What guests look forward to is the freshly caught fish.
