Chabalay Resort

Chabalay Resort, Koh Tao

Chabalay Resort is located in the southern part of Koh Tao at Aow Leuk Bay, a paradise for nature lovers.

This family business has been operated for 22 years and has kept its charm and authenticity along with the owners’ kindness and hospitality.
Chabalay Resort holds nine wooden fan bungalows on the hillside, all offering a fridge, a big bed, hot water, Wi-Fi access, and a sea view from almost every room. Their customers will be amazed at the heart-warming sunrises and moonrises from their beds or the terrace of Chabalay Restaurant, with Shark Island exclusively in the background. A pleasant Southeast sea breeze gently blows all day, so guests can relish fresh cool air in the room or end their day with a lullaby of sea waves.

Chabalay Resort customers have free access to Aow Leuk Bay, one of the most beautiful bays of Koh Tao that is full of marine life. Its large sandy beach with crystal clear water is perfect for snorkelling and diving in calm conditions most of the year. With healthy coral reefs on both sides and beginning near the beach, customers can easily enjoy this underwater world and may spot one of the sea turtles or blacktip reef sharks. For anyone that loves hiking, a walk through the jungle at the back of the resort gains access to Koh Tao’s windmill and a lovely coconut farm. Although surrounded by wilderness, the resort has easy access with a concrete road to their parking area at the entrance.

Chabalay Resort, Koh Tao
Chabalay Restaurant opens for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and guests have a clear view of the turquoise bay amongst a mountain backdrop. During certain times of the day, people can even spot reef sharks from the restaurant deck! The menu is a mix of Thai and western food. What guests look forward to is the freshly caught fish. Every day, the chef buys fresh fish and prepares some of the filets grilled with her signature Thai-French inspired sauce of thyme, rosemary, paprika, and garlic. It is often best served with an organic coconut picked at the prime of sweetness. Chabalay, immerse yourself in paradise.
