Look out for green turtles as well, as these live in this bay too and are amazing to see. Some of them are huge, larger than a metre long. They are friendly and not afraid of humans and can sometimes swim very close to you. Please be sure to not touch them as bacteria on our skin can greatly affect their health and can cause them harm. Though the coral reef in the bay was vastly destroyed by El Nino in 1998, Shark Bay is the only place where you can find turtles every day.
Thian Og is a quiet place to come and relax. It is also known as Shark Bay due to the many blacktip reef sharks that frequent here.
