June Juea is a remote bay with a small pleasant beach on the north side, known as Koh Tao’s best spot for a sunset view.
The water in this area is relatively shallow and filled with hard corals, such as Staghorn and small Foliose corals. Hawksbill turtles can be found here, although they tend to be timid and cautious. A few resorts are running, two small original family-run bungalow resorts and another luxury hotel; Pinnacle Resort. The bay can be accessed via a very steep concrete road, or you can reach it by walking twenty minutes along the shore from Chalok Baan Kao and Saan Jao Beach.
