Big Bubble Diving is one of the first dive schools to be established back in 1994 on Koh Tao. Located in the southern part of the island in Chalok Baan Kao, Big Bubble has remained a family-oriented business with a relaxed atmosphere.

Big Bubble Diving has about 30 Thai style bungalows with fan or air-conditioning options on the small mountainside near the dive school. The Big Bubble restaurant is on the beach and serves Western, Thai, and Burmese dishes. As a PADI 5-Star Instructor Development Dive Resort, Big Bubble Diving is offering PADI courses from beginner to instructor development for someone who wants to take their diving certification to the next level. The dive school caters to a large Thai market; however, all of the scuba diving courses can also be taught in English, German, and French. All the skills training is done in shallow bays of Koh Tao, and the training and fun dives are done off of one of their two private boats. The school can do up to five dives a day – two in the morning, two in the afternoon, and a night dive option. They also offer special trips to Koh Tao’s famous dive site of Sail Rock.

Something else that makes Big Bubble unique is its PADI equipment specialist courses. Students learn and practice equipment repair and inspection as well as visual and hydrostatic testing on tanks. Other Specialty courses include wreck, nitrox, deep, sidemount and self-reliant. Lastly, for travellers who want to learn more about the coral reef, Big Bubble has its own house reef that they study and preserve to learn about coral reef conservation.
