Big Bubble Diving is one of the first dive schools to be established back in 1994 on Koh Tao.

Located in the southern part of the island in Chalok Baan Kao, Big Bubble has remained a family-oriented business with a relaxed atmosphere.
Big Bubble Diving has about 30 Thai style bungalows with fan or air-conditioning options on the small mountainside near the dive school. The Big Bubble restaurant is on the beach and serves Western, Thai, and Burmese dishes. There is also a small bar that serves cold beer and cocktails that are perfect for enjoying while sitting by the sea.

Travellers who want to learn how to scuba dive at Big Bubble Diving – Koh Tao have a few choices about which organisation they want their certification to be from – PADI, SSI, or BSAC. All of these dive organisations are internationally recognised and are taught by members of the diverse Big Bubble staff. The dive school caters to a large Thai market; however, all of the scuba diving courses can also be taught in English, German, and French. If someone wants to take their diving certification to the next level, Big Bubble offers SSI instructor training every month, as well as BSAC instructor training on request. All the skills training is done in shallow bays, and the training and fun dives are done off of one of their two private boats. The school can do up to five dives a day – two in the morning, two in the afternoon, and a night dive option. They also offer special trips to the famous dive site of Sail Rock.

In addition to diving options, Big Bubble also has PADI and SSI freediving courses, from beginner level or basic freediving instructor training. Something else that makes Big Blue unique is its PADI and BSAC equipment specialist courses. Students learn and practice equipment repair and inspection as well as visual and hydrostatic testing on tanks. Lastly, for travellers who want to learn more about the coral reef, Big Bubble has their own house reef that they study and preserve to learn about coral reef conservation. Big Bubble Diving has something for everyone!
