Whether you’re a curious beginner or looking to keep up your practice while on holiday, there are a few locations on Koh Tao where trained practitioners can help relieve stress and worry, detox and energise your body and uplift the spirit.
Yoga is an ancient physical-spiritual practice that evolved in India and has since become popularised worldwide. It combines physical postures with breath awareness and mental focus to strengthen the body and channel its subtle energies, leading to a state of optimum health, joy, and tranquillity.
Many yoga types are available on Koh Tao, such as Hatha, Restorative, Pranayama, and Upa. All levels are welcome. Each yoga centre is run by foreign teachers who have long experience in this field and are residents of Koh Tao. All classes are taught in English. The daily class costs 300 Baht/class for 1:30 hours. In addition, 5, 10 class, and 1-month passes are available for a lower price. A Yoga Teacher Training Course and a yoga retreat are also offered.
