New Heaven Koh Tao is renowned for its research-based conservation and preservation efforts. Advanced divers can participate in training courses led by their resident marine biologist, covering topics such as coral taxonomy, sharks, coral restoration, and more. These courses vary in duration from one day to four weeks, and they also offer internships lasting up to three months. All courses lasting over one week include certifications through ‘Conservation Diver.’ Regardless of the course selected, the teaching approach remains ecologically aware and preservation-focused.
